Took part in the Operations' Teambuilding as an observer. Was told to go by Boss. I have to say that some of the projects were kinda interesting... the Reward and Recognition programme, ITRAX and Feedback ones. Have my own views and ideas on that but of course, not being in operations anymore, I thought it best to keep my mouth shut. Observer only, right?

Part two of the teambuilding was a scaled down version of the Amazing Race. Our group was sporting enough; we knew it was just a game and so didn't put too much emphasis on winning. That got us second place. The final challenge was Fear Factor style. Loved it. Thank gawd we tried it in Bangkok so it was no biggie for us.

Took this shot of my flat while on the way back from getting dinner. Today is my last day alone; Cheryl and Jac come home tonight.

Been torn between buying a new camera (a slim one that fits into my pocket) or just keeping my current one. There's nothing really wrong with the existing one, I think... it's either the battery that needs changing or the card that's damaged. Either way, as much as I like my 'horse', I'm thinking it's a bit too big and bulky to be carrying on holidays. I dunno... still considering the pros and cons...

Today is mom's birthday. Cheryl, Dawn and I decided to take her out for dinner. Dad couldn't make it cos he's helping out in the General Elections (which, incidentally, was today).

We had dinner at Mauro's place down at Robertson Walk. While we enjoyed the meats that were served, the kids (as expected) were fascinated with the desserts on display.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Was down in Bangkok from Wednesday til Monday. On this trip, we went for a look-see down at the temples like Wat Pho, the National Museum and we went down to the newly opened Siam Ocean World, down at the basement of Siam Paragon. The place is nicer than Sentosa's Underwater World and covers two floors. Massive... and impressive.

This trip, we also saw a baby elephant walking the streets. Pity I didn't have a camera at the time. Also... i got to try eating fried grasshoppers, bought from a street-side vendor. A friend of mine was more adventurous and tried out the fried beetles as well. Me? I managed to convince myself with the grasshoppers and it's enough for me. Mind over matter. It felt all so... Fear Factor-style.
