Sigh... I really wish I had one of these. In yellow...

One of our club members got married today. So on his request, about six Minis (two Minis and four Binis) formed a convoy that went from the brides place to his. As is wiv most Chinese traditional weddings, there was a fair bit of haggling that went on. However, I do think that the sisters went a bit overboard with it and we were stuck outside the bride's house for about ten minutes if not more (I'm SO not joking). Well, one of us figured the fastest way to end the negotiations in OUR (ie. the groom's) favour. It being a very hot day today, we turned off the main aircon switch which happened to be situated outside. It didn't take long for it to get stuffy inside. They were quick to let us in then... heh heh...

It was quite fun but I do realise that I ended up (out of habit) taking more pictures of the cars than of the wedding itself. Good thing that I wasn't the official photographer.

Two of the club cars. I usually pick them for my photos cos... both are red (club colours), both have the British flag on the roof and they represent the new and old Minis of the club...

Till now, though, I still haven't been able to get my 'perfect' shot of both cars together... highlighting their distinctive roofs. Fed up, sial... in my mind I have the shot pictured but in reality it's quite impossible... especially when you think of all the ideal backgrounds for them...

If you had a choice between going on a drive trip to Koh Samui/Hatyai or to Cebu, Philippines... which would you chose? I dunno. I've got those options for this year and I have to admit... I'm torn. Cebu has a nice big house with a pool in the yard. And Petra. But the trip to Koh Samui will be a driving adventure, co-driving for our club prezzie this time. I wish I could go for both but I know I can't. Sigh... looks like I'll have quite a bit to consider before June...

Austin is sick and I'm very concerned. He's got an operation scheduled for Friday but if things get worse between now and then, he'll have to go in sooner. Thing is... I hope his current situation improves for him to go in. Pity the other Reservations Administrator will be on course this Friday... I'd really prefer to be there when he goes in. I'm really scared cos he's already ten years old so any operation can be dangerous. My main fear is... "What if he doesn't wake up?" I think I'll be really shattered. Sigh... now I'm just trying my best not to think about it or else I'll just cry.
Every time I see this pic, the song "I'm too sexy" comes to mind. Dunno why.

This is Me.

Here are some things you may want to know about me. Or not. Whatever it is, this is me... like it or not.

01) I will be 35 years old this year. True, I may not look like or behave as such, but that's just me. It's not put on, I just haven't really been in a hurry to grow up.

02) I'm a third generation Singaporean Eurasian. That means my lineage is too complicated to list. So don't ask me to.

03) I love chocolates and my Old English Sheepdog, Austin.

04) My favourite colour is purple.

05) I'm lousy with Maths. It's all greek to me. Same goes for the workings of a computer.

06) You think I'm sarcastic. I think I'm funny.

07) I'm a little obsessive compulsive. Just a little, not too much. That'd make me a mental case. Which I'm not.

08) I have few friends, and I like it that way. Yes, I'm not very sociable. But I'm not a fake either. Don't expect me to start talking to you the minute you come up to me. I'll need to be used to your presence around me before I'll start talking. And that still won't mean that I'm your friend.

09) I'm scared shit of cockroaches and large spiders. If I had to rate the scare factor, spiders would make me pee in my pants, cockroaches would make me shit in them.

10) My all-time favourite vehicle would be the Jeep Wrangler. I also have a soft spot for The Classic Mini, the new BMW Mini (yes, I'd hate to admit it but... it's grown on me), the Suzuki Vitara, the Honda CRV and the older Range Rovers.

11) When I die, I'd like these songs to be played at my funeral (family... please note):
* Can't cry hard enough - Williams Brothers
* To where you are - Josh Groban
* It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday - Boys II Men
* Abide with me

12) My all-time favourite comics are the Richie Rich ones from way back when....

13) My favourite cartoons are Mask, the Smurfs, the Wild Thornberrys, Hey Arnold and Codename: Kids Next Door.

14) My current favourite TV series would be Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, CSI and the oldie-but-goodie.. the A-Team.

15) When I was much younger, I enjoyed watching The Famous Five' on TV (I used to find Julian cute) and the Aussie children's series 'Secret Valley'.

16) Enid Blyton has always been my all-time favourite author. Why? Well, because of The Famous Five, Five Find-Outers and Secret Seven series, that's why.

17) If I could chose one place I'd like to visit in my life, it'd be Ireland. Dunno why, just like the place.
